Lincoln has grown from 7lbs 3oz and 20 inches from month one to 9lbs 8oz and 21.5 inches in month two. He is holding his head up a lot better and is barring some weight on his legs. He smiles daily and laughs and coos more and more often. He is tracking objects and loves to lay in his crib and look around. He is having some difficulty with his upper-body strength (no doubt a result of hating tummy time) but aside from that he is developing and growing perfectly. He is still having tummy trouble due to the GERD - but we're hoping by months 4 or 5 he grows out of it. And for having so much tummy trouble our little man takes it in stride. He is easily calmed down and is already sleeping a 5 hour stretch at night followed by another 2-3 hour stretch! He even gave us a 6 hour stretch last week! Such a good boy :)
My maternity leave comes to an end soon and I am dreading leaving my little guy. I think I will enjoy being out of the house more but I know I will miss Lincoln terribly when I'm gone. The one positive aspect though is we will be leaving him with people he knows and who love him.
I can't wait to watch him grow and grow more everyday. He amazes me with how quickly he learns and changes- I swear he is doing something different every week! I love his big eyes and chubby cheeks and the smell of the top of his head. He is such a joy.
